Blisshood (a contraction between bliss + motherhood/childhood) was born on March 2018 out of the realization that a number of expat moms in Paris are experiencing trouble in building a supportive network due to various challenges including language barriers, cultural differences and the lack of an active English-speaking community that celebrates motherhood and kids as a whole.
As I approached forming a network of fellow Parisians and expat moms in my personal life, I discovered French and English-speaking communities that simply focused on pregnancy or on motherhood but did not offer activities for children. On the opposite side of the coin, I identified communities focused on children, but moms are often treated as a second thought. Furthermore, for working mothers like myself, we may experience difficulties balancing professional responsibilities, family life, health and well-being. Therefore, I decided to tackle this "either/or" attitude towards motherhood and raising kids in Paris by creating a community that focuses on moms and kids.
Every month, you can join us for one of our social meetups designed to help you meet fellow moms and expecting moms to exchange tips, ideas, and build your own network in Paris.
In collaboration with other experts, I have also created a series of masterclasses on success training, leadership skills, and positive psychology at work. I encourage fellow moms to fully enjoy the time you spend at work by expanding your leadership acumen. Furthermore, I assist you in making the most of your time at home and during the weekend by offering fun cultural activities for your kids.
Ultimately, I seek to let expat mothers and locals know that they are not alone in this amazing, and sometimes complicated journey through motherhood. We (the Blisshood community and I) are here for you, and your kids, to join you in leading a more blissful life.
